Portraits of unknown people, painted by unknown artists. Neither the names of the people portrayed nor those of the painters are known. Every museums has such works, which have been in their collection for decades - or longer. A selection of such portraits of the Kunstmuseum Olten are shown. The authorship and biography of the persons portrayed remain a mystery. These portraits are juxtaposed with three current contemporary positions that deal with portrait, transience and memory. These are Julia Hübner, Guadalupe Ruiz and Alexandra Meyer.
